Looking at a limp-lid, weak eye drool.
View's no further than the edge of the pool sharks growing up too fast.
They need a plan 'cause their gills are packed.
We hold our breath and count our fins, we learned to float but not to swim.
We'll walk again with splints for shins, must be the water we're in.

I, the central point of a cracked vessel bound with chewing gum.
Here's the size of my star, or the rate that it burns at.
Is this trip a new one? Is my book long enough?
Forget the fiction; I want to remember every second, every inch that I crawl.
It's the truth in my choice to move the coil, and jump over holes where I sharpened my heels.

We swim to meet.
You are where you are.
I am where I am.
There was always a body between, 'cause I could see you peerin' at me, but I don't know what's really in the middle.
